I'm a freelance translator charmed by the rich cultural heritage of a so wide and multifaroius country like China.
I got a degree in Oriental Languages and Cultures at La Sapienza University of Rome, choosing Chinese as my first language and English as the second one.

Between the East and the West there isn't a big gap any more, as a matter of fact distances have become much shorter in the last years. Unfortunally, the growing curiosity about China and its traditions doesn't go always with an adequate knowledge owned by who is interested in establishing any kind of relationship with that country.

The language is certainly the first and main obstacle. It's impossible for western people who have never studied Chinese to get to know or even just perceive by intuition the meaning of documents written in ideograms. That's the reason why it's necessary to place trust on people who not only can speak Chinese, but are also in deep contact with such a different reality.
